The club dinner meeting on August 11th will be dedicated to a Club Forum, the purpose of which is to obtain feedback from members in all aspects of club activities and to provide information, particularly to new members, of the many programs in which we are involved. In addition to providing impactful programmes our club should provide an enriching, stimulating and enjoyable environment for members, who hopefully feel that they are part of something worthwhile.
Rather than exploring opinions by questionnaire (which we all loath) your unstructured feedback would be valued.
Meetings: we currently have 47-48 members. This year we have never had more than 30 members to a Club Dinner Meeting. Usually about 26-28 attend.
Your thoughts on how to improve this would be appreciated
? change of format. ? just have social evenings. ? other activities such as a trivia night
Young members: how to attract and retain younger members
Social Media; any thoughts are welcome. We have a social media “advisor”, Kersha Chettri who will speak with the Club in October.
Belonging to one of the sub-committees: ideally we should all be part of a sub-committee which enhances interaction and the sense of being a contributor.
Your thoughts are most welcome.
One suggestion has been that everyone should participate in a number of the club activities, at least once, eg Bread Run, RIMERN attendance, cooking classes, Camcare Support, Power Assist basketball and gardening working Bee (if physically able).
Please think about the above issues and attend the Dinner meeting on 11/8/2026.
I would really appreciate any comments before the meeting,
Alex Marshall
Club Service Director
