The Rotary Club of Glenferrie welcomed new member Amelia Hamer at the club meeting on December 12th, inducted with the vocational classification Finance-Technology. Amelia, a resident of Kew, holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford. She has had a distinguished career in Australia and in the UK, in finance, business strategy and in politics and government. Until 2022 Amelia was Policy Adviser to The Hon Jane Hume, Minister for Superannuation, Financial Services and the Digital Economy in the Morrison Government. She has recently nominated for selection as the Liberal Party candidate for the Federal seat of Kooyong. Amelia has expressed a keen interest in Youth Service, but is also keenly interested in all the Rotary Avenues of Service. Amelia's mentor is PP Richard Blakeman.
