Terry McAleenan gave an informative and inspiring talk about his involvement with the Fathering Project, an organisation founded by Dr Bruce Robinson (in Western Australia) in 2013.
Their aims are to improve child development outcomes by inspiring and equipping fathers and father figures to effectively engage with their kids. Their vision is for every child in Australia to have an effective father figure.

Studies have shown that the cumulative effect of improved fathering can have a significant effect on a child's wellbeing and development; emotionally, socially and cognitively, with the impact lasting right through to adulthood.Terry explained that the Fathering Project is seeking involvement from community organisations such as Rotary clubs, to provide support in running programs in the Dads Program for Primary Schools and High Schools.
