Last Saturday was a perfect day for a sausage sizzle. No footy & lots of sunshine resulted in a record sale of 860 sausages and a profit of $2,400. The money collected will go to helping the people of Nepal. A big thank you to all members involved in this event.
Our speakers at our general meeting were Amy Yan and Sophie Chen. They spoke on Forced Organ Harvesting, which means removing organs from a person without their prior, free and voluntary consent. Many countries allow this procedure. A thought-provoking talk.
Collaboration is important in Rotary. We are hoping to collaborate with other Cluster clubs in a number of areas over the next couple of months. We look forward to this cooperation to help run future events.
Finally, do not forget to sign up for our Fellowship event at Pentridge on October 20th. Lots of options are available on the night for eg tour & dinner or just dinner in the B division. Looks like a fun & interesting night.
