The Rotary and Community Service Radio Show this Friday night on 94.1FM 3WBC, streaming Live on www.3wbc.org.au between 6 and 8pm, will feature a pre-recorded interview with our very own Amelia Anderson, Immediate Past International Service Director, and Taplima Muana the current Membership Director of the Rotary Club of Bo in Sierra Leone.

They will be telling us about an extremely successful Rotary partnership. With the support of grants from The Rotary Foundation, Australia Aid and the Rotary Balwyn Centenary Grants program, the Rotary Club of Glenferrie partnered closely with the Rotary Club of Bo in Sierra Leone to deliver essential sanitation infrastructure and a comprehensive WASH program to the Aladura Primary School, located in a remote community in the far east of Sierra Leone. Together, the teams constructed new toilet facilities and a water storage tower, installed solar powered pumps to retrieve well water, plumbed water to the school buildings, installed solar powered lighting throughout the school grounds, and implemented hygiene education to improve daily health practices for students and staff.
