Our journey commenced on the 1st of October with the inaugural End Polio Walk starting at Altona, culminating in an inspiring finish at Studley Park in Kew, on the 29th of October. Throughout this eventful period, the invaluable support and dedication from our club members have been nothing short of exceptional. Each contribution, no matter how big or small, played a pivotal role in the resounding success of this initiative.

Over the span of 28 days, a group of our passionate members embarked on a mission to collectively walk and run a remarkable total of 450 kilometers. This relentless effort was not just a physical feat, but a dedicated drive to raise funds for the Walk With Us 2023 campaign. I am ecstatic to announce that our combined efforts have resulted in raising a remarkable total of $410.

The impact of this achievement is substantial. With the funds raised, Rotary will be able to procure three vaccine super kits. These comprehensive kits are a formidable arsenal in the fight against preventable diseases such as polio, tetanus, and measles. They encompass a provision of 900 vaccines along with three vaccine carriers. Moreover, this contribution will provide frontline health workers with essential protective gear, including boots, surgical masks, gloves, and vital PPE gear.

I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved. Your dedication and commitment have made an indelible mark in our collective efforts, to eradicate these life-threatening diseases. Together, we have made a tangible difference, and for that, I express my deepest gratitude.

Well done and thank you for being a part of this remarkable journey.
