As we enter a new calendar year, hopefully having had a restful break from all of the wonderful work we do in the service of the peoples of the world, it is important to bring our focus back onto our No. 1 priority as we prepare to undertake yet another period of ‘Doing Good in the World.’
The Polio challenge remains and, while that elusive finish line continues to tease us, we know we must not relent and I encourage you to continue your individual and club endeavours to support our Foundation in working towards eradication.

To assist in providing a supportive and relevant message to our members I encourage you to use the video message from Kitty van der Heijden, Deputy Executive Director of UNICEF, in which she expresses appreciation for Rotary's invaluable role in the fight to end polio and its unwavering commitment to the well-being of children and communities. This video was recorded during COP28. As well as our partnership with UNICEF in the eradication of polio, her comments are relevant to our work with UNICEF in the Give Every Child a Future program.
Please keep up the great work you are all doing and ensure any financial support intended toward the End Polio campaign is undertaken as soon as you are able.
