With the generous assistance of a grant from The Bendigo Bank, the Club has purchased a defibrillator for use at the Boroondara Farmers Market and any other Rotary activity. Defibrillators have been proven to be one of the most important tools in saving the life of someone suffering sudden cardiac arrest.  The unit is easy to use by a first responder, regardless of age, training and experience. We have three fully trained club members, namely Paul Shekleton, Charles Tran and Alex Marshall. David Fallick will also undertake training. Charles Tran will provide an overview of the defibrillator and a how to use it guide at the club dinner meeting on 29th October.

The Rotary Club of Glenferrie thanks the Bendigo Bank for its commitment to community causes, and its generous assistance.

A Defibrillator

The Bendigo Bank funded the cost of the defibrillator, $1,950, through their Community Investment Program. We thank them for supporting our application which was submitted by Paul Shekleton. The Club will be more formally acknowledging and thanking representatives from the Bendigo Bank at a dinner meeting and inviting them to provide us with an acknowledgement plaque, which will be attached to the equipment.
