We are thrilled to announce that, at its meeting on February 22nd 2024, the Board of The Rotary Club of Glenferrie voted to become an official District 9800 Peacebuilder club, and to form a Peacebuilder Committee under the leadership of Foundation Director Garfield Lee. The move aligns the club with one of the key foundation principles of Rotary and with the first Area of Focus of The Rotary Foundation: The Promotion of Peace. It also aligns the club with the priorities of Rotary District 9800, which has been an official Peacebuilder District for the past two decades.

To qualify as a Peacebuilder Club the club, through the newly formed Peacebuilder Committee, must apply to the Rotary Action Group for Peace committing to a number of key conditions aimed at intensifying our efforts in fostering understanding, harmony and conflict resolution within our community and beyond.
