President's Message
Our next meeting is of course the Changeover from president Mark to new president Peter. I hope you are all registered; at last count we have around 75 attendees.

In preparing for the night, I have prepared a list of the projects we have participated in, and I am in awe of how much this group of 50 or so people can achieve. Congratulations to you all; please relax tonight in whatever way you like and remind yourself what great selfless work you have done.

I have indeed enjoyed my year as president thanks in large part to the support I received; I will find time next Tuesday to thank you all! I confess I am looking forward to handing over the reins and being a part of Peter’s year. I have already seen the training and thoughts he has assembled and have no doubt we can look forward to a successful year ahead.

Signing off,

President Mark

Regionalisation - What is it?
The new Regionalisation program commences 1 July 2024. It's aim is to revitalise Rotary and stop the negative trend in Rotary membership.

Main features:
- Zone 8 which includes Australia NZ PNG and other Pacific nations, is now controlled by an elected Regional Council. Below the Council there are various appointed experts who will have Zone wide responsibility for areas such as Membership.

- The districts are semi abolished. "On paper” the sole remaining role for District Governors is Foundation. However, at present our District is continuing as it always did, and we have DGs appointed for 2024/25 and the next two years after that.

- AGs have vanished. We are no longer formally in a cluster with Hawthorn and Kew but in a Community Group with 13 other clubs. Our CG will be led by Community Leader Michael Stillwell who is about to undergo his training.

The Rotary Foundation
We know that sustainable change comes from local solutions, and we need your help to make that happen. When you give to The Rotary Foundation’s Annual Fund-SHARE, we have more opportunities to work together on projects that you’re passionate about. When members like you participate in service or make a donation to our Foundation, we can have an even bigger impact.

What can a donation to The Rotary Foundation do? Provide clean water/Prevent and treat disease/Grow local economies/ Maintain the environment/Encourage education

Please consider making an additional gift today. You can donate online or send your contribution by mail to support our Foundation’s Annual Fund-SHARE or an area of focus you're passionate about. Your gift will support projects like these and make Doing Good in the World possible.
